Healing Recipes

Healing the gut is the primary way to healing so many symptoms and root causes in the body. In our busy hustle and bustle lives, it can be hard to make healthy meals that fuel your body while healing your body. These recipes are easy for the busy family while being healing to the gut and the whole body. In these recipes I will encourage you to use organic ingredients to decrease your toxin load and to get the most nutrition out of what you are eating. Reducing your toxin load and exposure will improve your health dramatically.

Keto Pound Cake

~1 1/4 cups Organic or Non-GMO Almond flour

~1 tsp baking powder (look for no aluminum)

~1/4 tsp sea salt

~4 Tbsp organic butter (room temp)

~3/4 cup Monk fruit sweetener

~3 1/2 oz full fat organic cream cheese (room temp)

~1 tsp vanilla extract

~4 organic eggs

(You can make this dairy free by using dairy free butter or coconut oil and Kite hill dairy free cream cheese)

~Preheat oven to 350

~Combine almond flour, baking powder and salt together in one bowl, set aside.

~In a separate large bowl, mix butter and the monk fruit with an electric mixer until it is nice and fluffy. Add the vanilla and cream cheese and mix that well into the butter and monk fruit. Add the eggs to mixture.

~Once the wet mixture is mixed well, slowly add the dry mixture. Mix on high until mixed well and fluffy.

~Add the mixture to an 8” loaf pan, greased well with either coconut oil or avocado oil. Bake loaf for 40-45 minutes until golden on the top. Let cool and enjoy with some berries!

Homemade Almond Milk

~1 cup Raw organic almonds

~4 cups filtered water

~1 tsp Vanilla extract

~Blender, Glass milk container, nut bag

1~Place raw almonds in a bowl and cover with about 3 cups of water to cover them, let them set out overnight. The raw almonds need to be soaked prior to making the milk.

2~The next day, drain the almonds. Place them in a blender (I love using the Vitamix for this). Pour the 4 cups of filtered water over the almonds and add the vanilla extract. Some like to add a date or some stevia to this, I find the vanilla is enough. You can play around with what you want to add depending on your taste.

3~Blend for 1-2 minutes until all almonds are blended and the mixture is creamy white.

4~Once blended, pour the milk through the nut bag to strain the nut meat out, then pour your milk in a glass milk container. You can store it in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

Keto/Dairy free Fajita Bowl

Keto/Dairy free Fajita Bowl

~3 Organic chicken breasts

~Fajita seasoning (1 tbsp Cumin, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp sea salt and 1 tsp oregano)

~4 cups of organic riced cauliflower

~Avocado oil (1 tsp for cooking the chicken, 3 tbsp for cooking the cauliflower rice)

~1 organic onion (sliced thin)

~1 Organic green pepper and 1 organic red pepper (sliced thin)

~1 Avocado

~Organic Salsa

~Kite Hill dairy free sour cream

~Season your chicken breasts with the fajita seasoning, place some avocado oil in a sauté pan (I like a cast iron pan) and place your seasoned chicken breasts in the pan on medium heat. While they are getting started, in another pan, add the avocado oil and the riced cauliflower. Add the fajita seasoning to the riced cauliflower and mix, making sure it is coated with the oil (you can add more oil if needed)

~Flip your chicken, making sure it is browned well on both sides and cooked through. Once the chicken is almost done, add the peppers and onions to the pan to sauté down.

~Slice your Avocado. Have your salsa and dairy free sour cream ready. Slice chicken once cooked through.

~Once cauliflower, chicken, peppers and onions are done, you can start making your Fajita bowl!

~Place the riced cauliflower in the bowl, add chicken, peppers and onions, salsa, avocado and sour cream…Enjoy!

~This meal is Keto and dairy free. If you are eating meat free, you can leave the chicken out.

Keto Chicken Crust Pizza

~1 pound organic ground chicken

~1 tsp organic garlic powder

~1 1/2 tsp organic Italian seasoning

~1/2 cup organic, low sugar tomato sauce (I like Primal Kitchen for the low sugar content)

~1-1 1/2 cups organic mozzarella cheese

~Toppings of your choice

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1~Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mash together the ground chicken and spices until you have a dough like consistency. (I like to use my hands to really mash it up well)
2~Line a baking sheet with natural parchment paper and place your chicken “dough” on it. Place another piece of parchment paper over the “dough”. Use a rolling pin to roll it thin. If you do not use the top parchment paper for this step, the chicken will stick to your rolling pin.
3~Bake the “dough” for 10-12 minutes.
4~Take your cooked dough out, put your tomato sauce, cheese and toppings on, put back into the oven for about 5-8 minutes and enjoy!
Keto Meat sauce and “pasta” (Zoodles)
~1 pound of grass fed ground beef
~1 clove organic garlic-minced
~1/4 cup diced organic onion
~1 cup of diced organic tomato’s (or 1-15oz can)
~1 1/2 cup organic pasta sauce (use a brand that has no added sugar)
~1/2 tsp of each-basil, oregano
~1/8 tsp sea salt
~1 large organic zucchini
~In a skillet, brown the ground meat, as it cooks break up as fine as possible. Add the minced garlic and onion for about 5 minutes until cooked in. Turn the heat to low/medium, add the diced tomato’s and pasta sauce with the seasoning. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes on low.
~While the sauce is simmering, wash your zucchini well, and with a zoodle maker (I bought mine on amazon) make your zoodles. When your zoodles are made, place them in a colander and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and let sit for about 5 minutes. Then take your zoodles and squeeze out the moisture.
~Put your zoodles on your plate, top with the meat sauce and enjoy! If you are able to have dairy, some shredded Parmesan cheese!
Keto Everything Bagels
Keto Everything Bagels
~1 1/2 cup organic shredded mozzarella cheese
~1 oz organic cream cheese
~1 cup almond flour (organic if possible)
~1 1/2 tsp baking powder (aluminum free always)
~1 large organic egg
~1/2 tbsp organic cold pressed olive oil
~2 tbsp everything seasoning
~Pre heat the oven to 375 F.
~Mix the almond flour, 2/3 of the everything seasoning and the baking powder (always aluminum free because you do not want to ingest metals that your body cannot excrete).
~Add the mozzarella and cream cheese to the mixture, microwave uncovered for 45 seconds. Take out and mix, microwave again for another 45 seconds.
~Stir the mixture until smooth. Add the egg, mix, and knead until all mixed and smooth.
~ Divide the dough into 4. You can make these either in a silicon bagel pan, or by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and rolling out a fourth of the dough into a log, and then shape into a bagel, making 4 bagels. If you are using a silicon bagel pan, just fill up each section with the dough.
~Brush the tops of each bagel with the olive oil (I say organic cold pressed because if it is not cold pressed that means that the olive oil has been heated at some point, which destroys many of the benefits)
~Sprinkle the top of the bagels with the remaining everything seasoning, bake at 375 F for 15-20 minutes, and enjoy!
~These are Keto/Paleo/gluten free
